This study compares the mechanical performance of E6013, E6019 and E7018 electrodes in underwater wet SMAW of ASTM A36 steel. Joints made with E6013 and E6019 met the tensile, elongation and bend-test criteria, while some E7018 specimens showed reduced ductility and bend-test failures, possibly associated with a larger amount of fine pearlite in the HAZ.
